Sergeant Harry van den Bos DFM


(1951 - 1952)

Born: 14th November 1920, Goxhill

Died: 14th October 1971, aged 50

Cousin: Kees van den Bos

Military Service: Harry won the Distinguished Flying Medal during a raid on Nuremburg in March 1944. As a mid upper gunner he defended his Halifax aircraft "with great skill" even as it caught fire and an engine was put out of action.
