Military Service: George served with the 529th (1/1st East Riding) Field Company of the Royal Engineers; promoted to second lieutenant on 27th October 1915. He was killed in action August 17th 1916, aged 32.
He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France and the high altar in the church of St Nicholas, Tuxford was given in memory of George. |
