Born: 29th November 1889, Poulton Le Fylde, Lancashire Died: 22nd August 1936, aged 46 Educated: University of Manchester Occupation: Medical officer and pathologist Lived: Grimsby Military Service: Arthur won the Military Cross in 1917 while serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps on the western front. London Gazette, 1 June 1917 Biography: Arthur died in a road accident on the Brigg road. A motorcyclist was turning around in the road after offering to help another motorist with a puncture when Dr. Plant's car hit him broadside. A verdict of accidental death was returned. He was due to play for Brocklesby against Redbourne that afternoon and the match was cancelled when news was received. |
