Corporal John Harrison Davey
Born: 7th January 1893, Habrough Died: 4th December 1974, aged 81 Chairman: (1953-1974) Son: Lieutenant Michael John Harrison Davey Grandson: William John Davey Great-grandson: Nicholas Mark Davey Lived: Thornton Curtis Military Service: Served with the 10th Lincolns as part of the Grimsby Chums in WW1. He was seriously injured at the Somme in a forward listening post by a rifle grenade attack a few weeks before the big push. Whilst convalescing in hospital he heard of the massive casualties sustained - 15 Officers and 487 men, out of 1000; killed, missing or wounded. World Archery Championships:
